Story of bulbul and koel fight
One morning I was having my tea on my balcony and was gazing on the trees near my house. There is big temple compound in front of the house which I live and my balcony faces the orchard of the temple. I noticed few birds chirping sound on the neem (Azadirachta indica) tree. Out of curiosity I started watching carefully towards the tree. I found three birds playing around there and making noise there. I identified that two were red vented bulbul and one was koel. Normally after summer Peepal (Ficus religiosa) trees will have fruits on it and many birds come in search of food there. The koel also had come for that and I remember that these bulbuls used to be there every morning and the koel was new to the three.
I carefully examined and found that instead of playing these bulbuls were fighting with the koel. The koel was sitting at one branch and suddely on bulbul came from up and hit her using its beak. The fight continued for 10-15 mins, koel was moving from one branch to another but these bulbuls were not leaving her.
Finally the koel gave up and flew away from the tree. I finished my cup of tea and started my daily work as usual, but it was really joyful to see these birds around me.
