Red Vented Bulbul (An interesting story behind them)

Commonly seen near your orchard, chirping on the trees near your house. Its a member of bulbul family and they feed on crops, insects etc. They are seen in many parts of India, tibet srilanka etc. These birds are fighting birds and they are not very much scared with the human being nearby. Story of bulbul and koel fight One morning I was having my tea on my balcony and was gazing on the trees near my house. There is big temple compound in front of the house which I live and my balcony faces the orchard of the temple. I noticed few birds chirping sound on the neem ( Azadirachta indica) tree. Brief Description This is the species which is badly effected by the waves/radiations coming out of cellphones and mobile towers. Dove see chirping near house

Doves are of the same species as the pigeons, we can also call them as wild pigeon. They have brown colors with light color dots. These are commonly seen bird in India. A graceful, slender-tailed, small-headed dove that’s common across the continent. Mourning Doves perch on telephone wires and forage for seeds on the ground; their flight is fast and bullet straight. Their soft, drawn-out calls sound like laments. When taking off, their wings make a sharp whistling or whinnying. Doves are found in almost every part of the world, and there are hundreds of dove species in existence. However, only a handful of doves are commonly available as pets, with the diamond dove and the ring-necked dove as the most popular pet dove species. Doves are ideal for someone who wants a bird, but cannot accommodate the needs of a parrot (noise, one-on-one social interaction). Domestic Pigeon

Pigeon is commonly available bird in India, they are found in various colors and varieties. Domestic pigeons are the species people normally keep as pets. An exception is the white domestic pigeon, the symbol known as the “dove of peace.” Pigeons are gentle, plump, small-billed birds with a skin saddle (cere) between the bill and forehead. All pigeons strut about with a characteristic bobbing of the head. Because of their long wings and powerful flight muscles, they are strong, swift fliers. Pigeons are monogamous; i.e., they mate for life, and the survivor accepts a new mate only slowly. The female lays two glossy white eggs in a flimsy nest that barely holds them.

Asian Green bee eater

Green bee eater The Asian green bee-eater is a small sized bird, rarely growing to more than 18cm in length. The green bee-eater is an easily distinguishable bird due to it's bright green plumage and attractive long tail-feathers. The green bee-eater also has a long, but sharp and narrow black beak which is perfectly designed for catching flying insects. The Asian green bee-eater nominate subspecies have overall greenish plumage. The chin and the throat are greenish blue. The crown, nape and upper back are light rufous brown.
